Microscopic Wood Knits

Why combine microscopy and knitting?

Working as a botanist for archaeological excavations I often have to identify wood by its internal structure using a microscope. This inspires me to make knitting patterns, because the internal structures reminds me of knitting lace!

In the patterns, you will find out more about the internal structure of the different wood species, what they were used for in the past, and of course how to make them with yarn. Turn them into a small pillow, a scarf or combine different species into a wall hanging!
