SoundwAves

Colour and sound variations of birds

As a biologist, I am a great lover of nature. Birds, their multicoloured feathers, and their song form great inspirations for my art. That is why this pattern series is called SoundwAves: the entire title referring to the makeup of their song, and Aves being the Latin word for birds!

In the patterns, you will be able to make a bird out of fabric and thread. The bird’s song is translated into soundwaves, which are made visible using hobby wire. Why not make a singing bird for your home too? Use the patterns as quilt blocks or turn them into a wall hanging!
